Again, it's after 20 years before I discovered that I was tagged by Meyms. Meyms, not following directions ka kse. Sabi inform the person that he/she was tagged. You didn't inform me. hehehe. anyway, here are my answers

-28 or 29.. next year (2009) so i could still be 28 or already 29 by then

-pastel colors

-The ability to read people’s mind. --> same. coz that's the kind of superpower i don't like to be used at me

as my Multiply contacts are aware of, most of the time I would get to read about their post after 6(?) months. hehehe. and this is one of those I've just read recently which was posted by Ate Mei last January pa. hehe. sorry if my posts recently have been more of surveys.

= kind of. i don't know. i have problem in concentrating to just look in one's eyes. i need to look at other things because i always need distractions. and that doesn't mean i'm not telling the truth ha

= either my mom or my sister

= really big secret. but also could be school for college. i don't regret going to uplb, especially since i really enjoyed my college life and my friends from there are really the best things that happened to me. but sometimes i ask myself what if we have sticked to the original plan of me studying in manila. i'm sure my life now would entirely be different and that's what i'd like to know

= my mom. coz she's just beside me. yup, i now sleep beside my mom. hehe.

tag season

i've been tagged again and i'm only doing the tags now so i can move on. hehehe. so i apologize coz this is somewhat long.

since it's the end of the year already, i'll start with the tag of Lazarus. 10 things that i'm thankful for. i think i'll concentrate now on what i'm thankful for this year.

1. Multiply. as i've told my friends especially the BLD Youth, i am thankful for this coz if not for multiply i won't be updated with their lives. and what makes me really thank Multiply is thru that site i've gained new friends. the AmpClub and my textmates. when i was really down, texting them really helped me. and also they accept me flaws and all.

2. Racho Family. have seen them a number of times this year and i'm thankful for it.

3. The Harpers and Wakieboardies. i'm really happy for these econsoc coz when i thought i won't be able to travel anymore, they came into the picture. slightly my new travelling buddies.

4. My Officemates. fun memories, for believing in me and even for the challenges

5. BLD Mark10. my Saturday afternoons are for them. i learned how to be more patient and also i get to have free art lessons. i suck at arts. that is why Mark10 is a challenge for me. especially when i get to teach the crafts.

6. My Friends. for their concern. for accompanying me when i need some company. for being there. and for helping me even if i don't ask for their help. they are Papa God's angels

7. US TV Series. hate to admit but i thank piracy. because i get to watch a lot of tv series. also these tv series gives me something to do when i'm just at home. and another reason for me to stay at home. also, a good conversation topic with friends. and i always have realizations when i watch.

8. Water Sports. i'm just thankful for diving, surfing (yup, even surfing) and wakeboarding. these made my year more enjoyable. and these sports (yes, even surfing) relaxed me. diving had always been a dream for me and i'm sure glad i've done it already. i did wakeboarding during the time i needed it most.

9.Philippines. i am really thankful coz this year i got to travel in a lot places here in the Philippines. i got to visit new places from Luzon to Visayas. next year Mindanao. hehe

10. Blogsy Friends. of course you're included. thank you my dear blogsy friends for always having the patience to read my entries, interesting or not. and thank you for leaving witty comments. your comments really make my day. thank you.

1. i always believe that my talent is playing the piano. i do not have any talents (you can ask my dad about that). but when you place me infront of a piano and give me a color-coded notes/piece, i can play it. or if you teach me how to play it, i can learn it easily. (ate toe, when you return to the philippines, give me free lessons, okay? hehe)

2. when i receive flowers, i offer it to our altar.

3. when i was in college, i write what i wore that day so as not to repeat it the week after. as in i will really check my list if i've worn it the week before.

4. when i cook, i don't taste it first. i just serve it. goes the same when i write my blog entries. i just write then post it. i just read it after a month. hehehe. so i apologize for the wrong spellings and wrong grammar. but when it comes to cooking, it's always delicious though i don't taste it. wait! maybe cooking is my talent. ummm... for those who knew me in my early college years, fyi... i now know how to cook. hahaha

5. i love solving puzzles. jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, watching quiz shows, whatever. i just love to challenge my mind every now and then to see if i'm still intelligent. hehe.

6. my favorite part of the chicken is the neck. coz when i eat chicken, i also eat the bones. so neck would be the best part coz you can everything. i remember my ex cooked dinner one time only with chicken neck and unexpectedly we had a guest. i really enjoyed the meal. i just don't know with our guest. hehe.

7. when i travel, i don't like to check-in my baggage. that is why i don't buy those big luggages so i can handcarry my bag. and also i can pack 4 days of clothes in one small travelling backpack. that is why i love my new jansport coz it's bigger. yup, to the people i texted and did a survey, i bought the bag. hehehe.

Idio(t)syncrasy

once again, i've been tagged by carey. i don't know. it's like she loves me so much that whenver she has to tag someone, she thinks of me. and since i also love carey.. i'm doing it. hehehe. but since i've done this already in the past and i it's a long list, i also copied some from my former posts. and some are not weird at all. it's just what makes me Pretty Tin

1. when i try to add something, even large amounts, i try to compute it manually first. then i check it by using the calculator. why? just to see if i still know my addition. hehe

2. all the cellphone numbers that are listed in my phonebook is also saved in an excel in my computer and usb.

3. i usually celebrate my birthday after my birthday. and i only invite those who greeted me. that's why the celebration is delayed. hahaha

4. i do not eat vegetables. unless it's salad, and tortang talong or monggo

5. i would rather walk than ride the jeepney. i just don't like riding the jeepneys. coz it's like i feel like i smell more polluted when i ride the jeepney rather than when walking. and you just don't know how sweaty your seatmate would be in the jeep.

6. my shoes don't last that long. i don't know. but the lifespan of my shoes now are only a month. but this only happened to me since last year i think.

7. i sleep with the lights on when i'm alone in the room. and would not be the one to close it when i have companions in the room. basta dapat nakapikit na ako pag nagclose ng lights.

8. before i take a bath, i would look at myself in the mirror then try out different smiles and facial expressions

9. i really hate cockroaches. even just the site of it in pictures. or even if it's dead. i don't wanna go near it. it still has some virus kaya

10. i always trip. when i walk i always trip down. basta ewan ko ba. matatapilok ako at matatapilok

11. i have to drink milk every morning. or whenever within the day. it's like something's amiss when i don't drink milk

12. i can sleep easily. even if there are noises around me, i can sleep well.

13. i hate going to sales. when i know that if a certain mall is on sale, i would not go there. i hate crowded places. i really hate it

this is a totally long-overdue meme from Alternati.

should it be in the moviehouse? coz if not, definitely 50 First Dates; Little Mermaid; and Sound of Music. the first two are faves of my sister and she never gets tired of watching it. since isa lang tv, no choice. for the sound of music, when i was still a kid we would always watch it. singing every song

multiple times for me would be only twice, i guess. Superman Returns (tama ba? basta yung latest) and Titanic. yup, i've only seen titanic twice. leo is not that ultimate crush anymore during that time coz every girl has a crush on him already

i have lots of VCDs and DVDs. but what i really collect is FRIENDS VCDs. it dhould be VCD and not DVD coz that's the collection i have started.

nope. but i've slept in the movie house. it's because my friends watched a film about cockroaches, and i have no choice but to enter the theater. so i just closed my eyes the whole time and slept. okay lang. just came from manila. we watched this in calamba. i went down in waltermart to meet them and they are really kind to me. instead na maawa saken at manood ng magandang film, they (all of them) really chose that film eventhough they know i hate cockroaches.

Nasaan Ka Man. claudine-jericho-diether movie. promise! after the movie, i was just really crying. i watched it for an FGD and i'm glad i did. liked that film. i'll recommend that film also

Spiderman 3. and hopefully, later we'll watch Shrek3. and next week, Pirates 3. i just realized, movies this may are all part 3.

Random Facts

i was tagged by Tin, weeks ago. hehe. this is to write down 6 random facts about me..

1. I am pretty. - fact daw diba? for me this is a fact. hehehe

2. When i go to the mall, I have to buy something. - when i go home, I should be bringing one shopping bag. even if it's a food or whatever as long as i have something

3. I took up karate, swimming, guitar and aikido lessons - and i never learned anything from these classes. hehe.

4. I am brand conscious - this is hard for me to admit but it is true. when i go out, i should wear something branded. even if it;s just my top or my pants. or just my shoes. as long as there's something branded. bad noh?

5. I love to walk - i would rather walk than ride the jeepney. hehe

6. I don't ride Manila buses if i'm alone - i hate the smell and i have a traumatic experience before. hehe. because the first time i rode a bus alone, i was caught by an MMDA for jaywalking. honest, i didn't know it. coz i just followed someone. after that incident, i don't ride manila bus anymore. i just ride a bus alone if it's provincial like going to laguna.

Blogging

Before going to my main topic... I now remember what is my #10 in my No Way list. Another big no-no for me is

10. Buy an imitation – even if it’s expensive, I’ll save up to buy the original one. It would be a great embarrassment if someone will notice that you’re wearing/using an imitation. And honestly, I really feel good if I’m using an original branded item.

I was tagged by Carey on 5 things that happened to me because of blogging. Well, here’s my list on why I like to blog:

1. I’ve learned html. Not really totally learned a lot but bits and pieces, putting links, changing your font into a bold one. Stuff like that. But I cannot say I’m an expert especially after what happened to my sidebar. Thanks to iskoo, now it’s fixed again. (I still can’t believe you’ve thought of that. Hahaha)

2. My writing improved. So just imagine how it was before. Hahaha. Well, I think it improved. Some people had even comment that it did improve. Basta what I know is that I’m not good in writing, I always have low marks in my theme compositions. And I get a chance to practice my english. Aminadong barok ako. Hehehe

3. I am now getting addicted with Multiply. And through the blogs and pictures there and also in Friendster, Blogspot, Wordpress or wherever (but mostly in Multiply), I get to know my friends more. I get updated with their lives even if I don’t see them often. And I gain new friends! Also, it’s very interesting to read stories of other people. I’m not tsismosa coz I don’t tell others about your stories, I’m just curious. hehe

4. I love to travel! But due to budget constraint, I only get to some places. And it’s still a long dream for me to travel the world. But through the blogs, I get to know a lot about places and the people. Reading about unknown places there that only the locals know is really a good thing. I feel like if I get the chance to visit the place, I’ll feel at home already coz of what I read.

5. I get to analyze things too much. especially with what's happening in my life. I don't know, i believe blogging has something to do with it.

The tag says to list only 5. But I'll add another one. Daming naisip. Hahaha. And for me, this is the most important...

6. Everybody has a story to tell, the problem is not everyone is interested to hear it. I have stories to tell also and honestly sometimes I’m shy to say it because it might bore the other person. Thru blogging, I get to share my story. And it’s just up to you guys if you’ll read it or not. And it’s really touching to learn that there are some friends (that i don't expect) who really read my blog, like Kim, Ate France and Kuya Marvin. In a way it’s flattering, coz I didn’t expect it. Thanks guys. And I told you I’ll mention your names here in my blog.

So there. Now you know why I'm getting hooked to blogging. Hehehe. I won't tag anyone this time.

Weekend Boasting and a No Way Tag

Cebu - Roxas - Batangas - Dumaguete.

Have never spent a Saturday yet at home or particularly in Manila this year. I was always out of town and the latest was in Dumaguete. As my sister told me in YM, “hambog!” (braggart/boastful). Hahaha. Talaga! hahaha. And that’s what I love about having my own blog. I can boast around and it’s okay, because it’s my own blog. You will read it or not, and I won’t even get hurt that much even if you don’t really read unlike if I see you not really listening to my stories. Hehehe.

Anyway, the story… My officemate (along with her sister) and I availed of the P99 promo of Cebu Pacific. Their original plan is Cebu for the Sinulog. Fortunately, all flights are fully booked coz if they’re going to Cebu, I won’t come along. Just been to Cebu and it was for two weeks. So suggestion was Dumaguete. And there were still lots of vacant seats. Yipee! We bought our tickets before Christmas. So when I saw my cousin Vera and her boyfriend Stephen during the weddings, I told them and somehow made plans. I told them that I want to go diving but I don’t know how. And because Stephen is a really kind-hearted and generous guy especially to Vera’s relatives, he said that he’ll give us an intro to diving FOR FREE!!!

So Jan. 19, we headed to Dumaguete. We met the scuba diver friends of Stephen and they taught us the basics of scuba diving. Actually, it was Borge who was our dive master. But his friends are really helpful, especially my diving buddy Ian. For the intro, we went as far as 15 feet. Saw lots of fish and corals! Ang ganda! But I experienced problems with my ears. I still don’t know how to equalize.

The next day, we went to Apo Island. I went first, with buddy Ian again. We went as far as 7 meters (21 feet) coz I already know how to equalize. Naks! Hehehe. Since there’s a limited number of gears only, i gave my friends a chance to dive. but I got addicted to it. So, I was really persistent that I would dive again. After lunch, Vera and the divers dived into the drop-off point. I also want to!!! But Stephen said that I can’t coz I’m still a beginner, but he promised that I can go diving after them but just at the boundary of the drop-off point. So after them, buddy Ian and I went diving again. Since we’re in the middle of the sea, they taught me how to jump off from the boat. I did not do what I usually watch from the TV/movies that they’ll turn back from the sea and tumble around. I did the Great Stride or I just step off the boat. And I did it perfectly! Hehehe. Well since my buddy was pasaway, and I already know how to equalize, he brought me to the boundary of the drop-off point and a little beyond it. So somehow, I experienced the drop off point. When I asked him afterwards how deep we went, he said 10 meters. But I know when I looked at the watched while underwater, it said 12. maybe it’s the time that I saw not the meters. Hahaha. It’s okay. 10 meters is still 30 feet! Hehehe.

Honestly, even if it was just last weekend, I already miss diving. I’m getting addicted to it. And my cousin Randall just has one response to that: “Welcome to the club!” hehehe.

This is a long overdue tag from Duke and Wil. 10 things that I would never do. Never say never is one of my mottos, but I hope I’ll never do these talaga.

I’ll never…
1. Regret anything. – I don’t want to regret anything. I just learn from things that happen. But the closest to regret I’ve ever done I guess is resigning from my former job. hehe

2. Eat a cockroach. – hello?!?!?! I can’t even touch nor look at one

3. Have an affair with a married man. – especially after experiencing what happened to our family after my dad have an affair. No way will I destroy a family for my own sake. And it’s bad. Period.

4. Step on other people to get ahead/Ruining a person’s reputation for my own benefit. – I have to copy this Duke. And I just can’t bear that I’m better off than someone by not being fair. I just can’t. ako pa! I’m always concerned with other people’s feelings

5. Date/Have a relationship with my friend’s ex. - I don’t know. It’s just a rule for me

6. Migrate to another country. – I just don’t like to. As I said in my previous post, I would like to live in the province. I just imagine myself living in another country because I’m studying there or my job assigned me there for a certain period of time.

7. Work in a government agency. – this is a big HAHA for me. Because unbelievably, I’m working for a government agency now. I still do not have my civil service, to give me an excuse not to work for the government, yet I’m here. Haaay… hehehe

8. Work that involves finance. – In college, I failed only two subjects. And they are both Math subjects (Math 17 and 36). Hehe. And my highschool Math teacher told me that I’m good, but I’m careless. So imagine.. I can’t really be involved with money nor math. Yet my previous and present jobs both deal with money and finance. And now I’m planning either to get an MBA or Masters in Finance. Labo ko sobra! Hahaha.

9. Commit suicide. - I’m afraid of hell

Short stories and a Tag

I was tageed again. but this time by Bananachoke. but before i start on the tag, i want to share some few things first...

- we ate in Outback,G4 last saturday. i know the staff there are great as i've experirenced before. but last saturday is different. our server, April, before handing us our bill was writing something on it. and i thought it was just nothing. but when i received the bill, there was something written on it: "It was a pleasure serving you both. - April" sweet diba?

- yesterday, i was in the Adoration Chapel, and i don't know tears just flowed and i was crying though i don't know why. yup! siraulo na ako. hahaha. anyway, while in the middle of my drama session, a lady tapped me and said: "Don't cry. Are you crying?" coz i was surprised, i said no. then she said "i thought you're crying" then left. after she left, i cried more. coz i asked God "Lord, even in the church, i'm not allowed to cry anymore?" but maybe the lady is God's angel. assuring me not to cry coz everything will be alright. wait! what's wrong ba? hehehe

i'm back!!! after a very busy week, and i guess another week ahead, i got the chance to check out other people's blogs again and my email! hehehe. and what i've discovered? i've been tagged thrice! waah! i'll first do the tag that i received from snglguy and toe.

6 Weird Things About Me

1. sleeping with a pillow covering my face, or my hands if i don't have an extra pillow - i guess this is not weird anymore since snglguy does that also and so does others. but i thought it was somehow weird. coz when i was still really young, my dad would always tell my brother when i sleep: "Look at your Ate, she's covering her face again. she's ashamed of her face." honestly, i'm not. i'm just comfortable that way

2. everyday there's a blooper - promise!! as in everyday. before it would always be, i'll trip over or i'll get wounded. now, there's more. basta! bloopers everyday

3. i cry when i'm mad - i just cry. if ever i still talk to you and tell you not to talk to me, that means, i can still forgive you easily. but if i'm really totally pissed off at you, i just cry.

4. i find myself sexy - yup, that's weird! coz even if i know that i'm chubby, i still find myself sexy. nasa pagdadala. hahaha

5. i used to have lots of pimples - i included this because when i tell my friends who didn't know me when i was in highschool, they don't believe me. yes! i used to have really many pimples. my uncle would tell me that i don't have a face but a pimple. all i can say is thanks to the derma. hehe

6. i hate cockroaches! - there's nothing weird about it except that i don't want to see them. not even if they're just in tv, movies or pictures. and if for example i'm taking a bath and there's a cockroach, i'll really shout and really ask anybody in our house to kill it. i just hate them! especially the flipis (right, yuri?)

after writing this. i realized something.. i guess, i'm not weird at all :)

1. Tagalog lovestories - baduy na kung baduy! but tried to watch some of these films and promise it just made me sick. but in fairness, there are other tagalog films that are worth watching
2. Mission Impossible - i can't understand the story. but i like MI3
3. Joe's Apartment - puhlease! the stars of that film?!! yuck!
4. i forgot the title but it's also about roaches and i just slept during the entire film coz i don't want to open my eyes and watch

Four places that I would NEVER live in:

1. Alaska or the Antarctic and other freezing places - have to copy this.
2. Somalia
3. Ilocos or Cagayan - i'm sorry but i'm not really a north person
4. war zone countries

Four things I HATE to do on my weekends:

1. travel on a rainy day. sorry i just hate rain
2. arrange/clean my stuff
3. finish officework
4. visit a doctor for a check-up

Four TV shows I used to geek out to:

1. Bioman - Sorry Yuri. but i'm Pink5! hahaha. i have karate class at the same time. and my sister and i would pretend sick so we don't have to take classes and just watch bioman. hehehe
2. Perfect Strangers - we just used to laugh really hard with their jokes. hehe
3. Nickelodeon - particularly Finder's Keepers and Double Dare
4. Karate Kat - i forgot the title of the show. it's like a cartoon strip or something with Thundercats for Mondays (?), and Karate Kat on Wednesdays. and i also like their show on Fridays but i forgot the title

Four cigarette (or liquor) brands I’ve tried and enjoyed:

1. any cocktail drinks. hahaha

Four things I CAN live without:

1. Cigarettes - sorry but i hate the smell of lit cigarettes.
2. Cockroach!!! - should i say more
3. Beer - i get drunk easily when i drink beer. and i don't like it's taste
4. well, it's just really cockroaches

Four of my favorite cholesterol laden foods:

1. Pizza!! - it's just my weakness
2. Proven - it's a streetfood that i can only buy in LB. it's like hotshots of kfc
3. Sisig
4. Chocolates

1. Bora bora or Amanpulo
2. California - to visit my college barkada
3. Cambodia - my sister and i are pestering my dad to treat us a trip to Cambodia
4. Anywhere as long as i'm with ... - sorry can't say his name coz some of the readers know him. hehe.

simple pleasures in life..

1. being in the Adoration Chapel - just staying there gives me a feeling of peacefulness. if i don't feel good, i just go there.
2. walking - as i have previously mentioned in my posts before. i love to walk. it gives me time to think and realize things.
3. reading books - i love to read.
4. receiving sms from friends - even if it's a forwarded message
5. eating crepes - i don't know but since last year this had been my favorite and my weakness!
6. going to a new place/trying our new restaurants
7. singing!
8. when my crush texts/calls or just even smiles at me :)
9. watching the sunset
10. reading comments in my blog. hahaha
