novena

i didn't know that i was inlove. hehehe. actually, i really am not. almost everyone who left a comment in my last post (Moments) said that i was inlove. i'm not. promise! as in there's no one in my life right now. not even a kilig someone. none. sad noh? but it's true. and i'm okay with it.

honest. i'm okay even if i have a zero lovelife. every thursday, i'm doing a novena to St. Jude. as in i really go to mendiola to attend the novena mass there. i have been doing it for four consecutive weeks already (5 more to go). St. Jude is the patron saint for hopeless cases.

my officemates know that i'm doing this novena and they are all teasing me if i'm really deperate of having a boyfriend already. honestly, it's not what i'm praying for. it would just come as a bonus if ever. honestly, i'm not a hopeless case even with what i'm praying for, i know i can have it (to the smallest details) in the right time. i know God will not abandon me. i'm sure He will give it to me. i just go there because an officemate invited me and i just can't say no. hehehe.

but yesterday when another officemate asked me what am i praying for.. i said: "just wait after a month.. i'll already be thin."

after saying that, it got me thinking... i now know at where i am a hopeless case. it's in slimming down :)

moments

when you like a person, you would remember everything even just the small detail. like for example, when you bumped into each other in a mall or he texted you or greeted you or even just smiled at you. you would remember this for the longest time, maybe forever. but the question is.. does he remember it also?

but honestly, i don't care if he remembers or not (hopefully he does. hehe), the important thing is how he made you feel. the kilig* factor. it gives you hope.. maybe not with him.. but just hope that someday, someone could give you that kilig factor for the rest of your life.

*kilig - that tingling feeling that you get when you see your crush that will leave you with an uncontrollable smile.

Posts of My Blogsy Friends

i've been tagged again. again, by Carey. and i am thankful for this tag coz i don't have anything to post. and i just have to do this because carey was the one who thought of this, and she really thought hard of this. i think this is the only thing she did while in cebu.. how to do her tag. wahehehe. and it's a cute tag. so here goes..

Here are the rules:

1. Choose five blogs randomly from your blogroll.
2. For each blog, choose at least one entry (you could add more) which is your favorite post by this blogger.
3. Include a link to this post and explain why you like it.
4. The chosen five bloggers are considered tagged and they will also have to do the same in their blogs.

Don’t be too hung up on grammar or some writing technicalities, just choose for the simple reason that you enjoyed reading the entry - it made you laugh, shed tears, fuming mad, motivated, inspired - whatever your reasons are, you think it’s the blogger’s best post so far and could even make it to the list of the blogosphere’s all time favorites.

i'm sure some of my friends do not want their sites/blogs to be announced to the world so i'll just stick to those who i have not met personally. sad lang coz i can't share with you guys ralph's bitterness, pusit's tsinelas, mei's teleserye line, jamie's conversation with God, meyms' new sm, emcee's thoughts that are sooo similar with mine, denz's drama mode, baby polo's pictures, idda's boredom, and lots and lots more..

and since it's limited to only 5 blogs (it was emphasized), i'll just pick 5. hehehe. next time na lang yung sa iba. so the five lucky blogsy friends (wow carey! something new, hehe)..

1. Toe - a diplomat in Cambodia. naks! it just dawned on me.. may kilala pala akong diplomat. hahaha

Fun Facts Pinoy may Want to Know about Cambodia - i'm really aliw with this post. hehehe. i've learned a lot and it's great to know that cambodians appreciate filipinos. sikat tyo! hahaha

My Province of Kamuning - i can relate to this coz when people ask me what my province is..i can't mention quezon city coz it's not a province. bohol is the province of my dad. damay-damay na lang. hehe

2. Renny - someone who'll tour you around Norway. better than a tourist guide coz there are personal stories behind

Brazil Never Beats Norway in Football - i'm sure you didn't know that. hehehe. i also didn't until i read this. and i love this post coz i got to have a free lunch. wahehehe

Porcelain from Porsgrunn, Norway - another trivia for me. there's a famous porcelain factory there that makes really durable cups that even if you stood on it, it will not break.

3. Chase - the blog is supposed to have recipes coz he loves to cook but since he's a film student, what you'll see now in his blog are their projects.

The Comment Whore - it's like a blog party where you can meet new friends. as a matter of fact, this is where i met Ate Ghee. right, Ate?

his lovestory with odd. aliw sobra! hehehe. i didn't put the link. sorry.

4. Lazarus - a Cebuano who's always in Manila and who loves poetry

Nanampiling sa Kalaay - this is written in Cebuano. and i just love it coz i had fun in really trying to translate it. even the comments. hehhehe

My Stuborness Saved My Mother - this is part of the tales of his dad. and i like the story coz it proves that a delay or an instant decision could really change your life.

5. Alternati - the title of her blog is sarcasm aside. and it really fits her blog. coz she's really sarcastic at its finest. hehehe

13 Villains I Root For - she loves making 13 lists of not to be thought of lists. like her all-time fave villains. and the list is really an all-time fave for many.

Sagada 01 - Living on a Rock - the first time i saw her picture. and i even until now, i can't still believe that she looks a good angel. hehehe. pansin ko ha.. parang ang bad impression mo talaga saken. hahaha.

but I have a bonus, since carey loves me. hahaha. my gift to ther (other than doing this tag) is i'm gonna mention my favorite entries of hers..

A Jump to Remember - this is sweet and intriguing. for me ha. hehehe. and after a few days, the realization of the dream came to her. ang galing lang! sana ganyan din ako.

and because of this tag, i'll start labelling my entries. coz when i was looking for my favorite entries, i had a hard time. and the labels/categories really helped me a lot. hehehe.

missing my z600

I cried the other night. It’s because I miss my Sony Ericsson Z600, my old phone. It’s not working properly. You cannot see anything in its screen. I did not have it repaired yet and I bought a new phone (just a phone that I can use to send text messages, make calls, and play games). So, I opened my Z600 and it won’t start. I tried charging it, but it won’t charge. Then I just broke down. Babaw!

I just really miss my phone. I miss seeing the name of the one who sent me the message before I open my phone. I even miss seeing the picture of the sender or the caller. I miss using the GPRS. I miss its very useful joystick. I miss the irritating alarm sound. I miss my calendar. I can’t easily make schedules tuloy. I miss the camera even if it’s not that clear. And what i miss most is using a flip phone. I don’t have anymore excuse for being flip. Waaah! I just miss everything.

And sa sobrang kadramahan, I even talked to my phone that night, saying/asking.. “Why did you give up on me? I am sorry for not taking good care of you. I am sorry for just dropping you every now and then. I am sorry for the times I may not have shown that I love and I’m proud of you. And I am sorry for not being a great owner. But thank you for the two and a half years that you were with me. I still can’t believe you lasted for two and a half years with me.”

AMPALAYA!

My Proudest Moment

if i'll be asked now what my proudest moment is, i'll tell the story of what happened to me last week...

last wednesday night, i was walking home alone. then i encountered a dog
who was barking at me and he's outside the gate! my dad taught me whan
i was still a kid, never to run and never to show fear to a dog. so i
stopped, faced the dog and shouted (in tagalog): "don't you dare come near. you'll really be sorry! i'm warning you, don't you dare!"

he (i'm assuming the doggie is a boy. hehe) then walked towards me and
went to my back and was still barking. i just continued shouting at
him, and started walking away. the dog just stayed there but continued
barking.

it's my proudest moment coz if i ran away, i'm sure he would have
bitten me. but i'm safe coz i showed him that i'm brave. hahaha. and as
i told my mom, i'm so glad the dog understands tagalog. hehehe

book review and a new baby

The Devil and Miss Prym is a book by my favorite author.. Paulo Coelho

this is a very inspiring book. a rich one. especially if you are a faithful or religious person, you'll learn a lot from this.

the book mainly focuses on temptation. if the people of a small village will commit a crime for the future (of the village). as with other paulo coelho books, there are a lot of profound messages and words. the story is actually really simple but the learnings are really great. you get to think on how is evel and goodness is here on earth. the task there is a hard one, it's murder, i'm sure a lot of people would not do that. but still, you would learn a lot from the simple conversations. you would get to reflect on how temptations attack you, and how you respond.

if you've read other Coelho books, i'm sure you'll love this one. for me, this is his best book so far.

Random Facts

i was tagged by Tin, weeks ago. hehe. this is to write down 6 random facts about me..

1. I am pretty. - fact daw diba? for me this is a fact. hehehe

2. When i go to the mall, I have to buy something. - when i go home, I should be bringing one shopping bag. even if it's a food or whatever as long as i have something

3. I took up karate, swimming, guitar and aikido lessons - and i never learned anything from these classes. hehe.

4. I am brand conscious - this is hard for me to admit but it is true. when i go out, i should wear something branded. even if it;s just my top or my pants. or just my shoes. as long as there's something branded. bad noh?

5. I love to walk - i would rather walk than ride the jeepney. hehe

6. I don't ride Manila buses if i'm alone - i hate the smell and i have a traumatic experience before. hehe. because the first time i rode a bus alone, i was caught by an MMDA for jaywalking. honest, i didn't know it. coz i just followed someone. after that incident, i don't ride manila bus anymore. i just ride a bus alone if it's provincial like going to laguna.

Blogging

Before going to my main topic... I now remember what is my #10 in my No Way list. Another big no-no for me is

10. Buy an imitation – even if it’s expensive, I’ll save up to buy the original one. It would be a great embarrassment if someone will notice that you’re wearing/using an imitation. And honestly, I really feel good if I’m using an original branded item.

I was tagged by Carey on 5 things that happened to me because of blogging. Well, here’s my list on why I like to blog:

1. I’ve learned html. Not really totally learned a lot but bits and pieces, putting links, changing your font into a bold one. Stuff like that. But I cannot say I’m an expert especially after what happened to my sidebar. Thanks to iskoo, now it’s fixed again. (I still can’t believe you’ve thought of that. Hahaha)

2. My writing improved. So just imagine how it was before. Hahaha. Well, I think it improved. Some people had even comment that it did improve. Basta what I know is that I’m not good in writing, I always have low marks in my theme compositions. And I get a chance to practice my english. Aminadong barok ako. Hehehe

3. I am now getting addicted with Multiply. And through the blogs and pictures there and also in Friendster, Blogspot, Wordpress or wherever (but mostly in Multiply), I get to know my friends more. I get updated with their lives even if I don’t see them often. And I gain new friends! Also, it’s very interesting to read stories of other people. I’m not tsismosa coz I don’t tell others about your stories, I’m just curious. hehe

4. I love to travel! But due to budget constraint, I only get to some places. And it’s still a long dream for me to travel the world. But through the blogs, I get to know a lot about places and the people. Reading about unknown places there that only the locals know is really a good thing. I feel like if I get the chance to visit the place, I’ll feel at home already coz of what I read.

5. I get to analyze things too much. especially with what's happening in my life. I don't know, i believe blogging has something to do with it.

The tag says to list only 5. But I'll add another one. Daming naisip. Hahaha. And for me, this is the most important...

6. Everybody has a story to tell, the problem is not everyone is interested to hear it. I have stories to tell also and honestly sometimes I’m shy to say it because it might bore the other person. Thru blogging, I get to share my story. And it’s just up to you guys if you’ll read it or not. And it’s really touching to learn that there are some friends (that i don't expect) who really read my blog, like Kim, Ate France and Kuya Marvin. In a way it’s flattering, coz I didn’t expect it. Thanks guys. And I told you I’ll mention your names here in my blog.

So there. Now you know why I'm getting hooked to blogging. Hehehe. I won't tag anyone this time.

Weekend Boasting and a No Way Tag

Cebu - Roxas - Batangas - Dumaguete.

Have never spent a Saturday yet at home or particularly in Manila this year. I was always out of town and the latest was in Dumaguete. As my sister told me in YM, “hambog!” (braggart/boastful). Hahaha. Talaga! hahaha. And that’s what I love about having my own blog. I can boast around and it’s okay, because it’s my own blog. You will read it or not, and I won’t even get hurt that much even if you don’t really read unlike if I see you not really listening to my stories. Hehehe.

Anyway, the story… My officemate (along with her sister) and I availed of the P99 promo of Cebu Pacific. Their original plan is Cebu for the Sinulog. Fortunately, all flights are fully booked coz if they’re going to Cebu, I won’t come along. Just been to Cebu and it was for two weeks. So suggestion was Dumaguete. And there were still lots of vacant seats. Yipee! We bought our tickets before Christmas. So when I saw my cousin Vera and her boyfriend Stephen during the weddings, I told them and somehow made plans. I told them that I want to go diving but I don’t know how. And because Stephen is a really kind-hearted and generous guy especially to Vera’s relatives, he said that he’ll give us an intro to diving FOR FREE!!!

So Jan. 19, we headed to Dumaguete. We met the scuba diver friends of Stephen and they taught us the basics of scuba diving. Actually, it was Borge who was our dive master. But his friends are really helpful, especially my diving buddy Ian. For the intro, we went as far as 15 feet. Saw lots of fish and corals! Ang ganda! But I experienced problems with my ears. I still don’t know how to equalize.

The next day, we went to Apo Island. I went first, with buddy Ian again. We went as far as 7 meters (21 feet) coz I already know how to equalize. Naks! Hehehe. Since there’s a limited number of gears only, i gave my friends a chance to dive. but I got addicted to it. So, I was really persistent that I would dive again. After lunch, Vera and the divers dived into the drop-off point. I also want to!!! But Stephen said that I can’t coz I’m still a beginner, but he promised that I can go diving after them but just at the boundary of the drop-off point. So after them, buddy Ian and I went diving again. Since we’re in the middle of the sea, they taught me how to jump off from the boat. I did not do what I usually watch from the TV/movies that they’ll turn back from the sea and tumble around. I did the Great Stride or I just step off the boat. And I did it perfectly! Hehehe. Well since my buddy was pasaway, and I already know how to equalize, he brought me to the boundary of the drop-off point and a little beyond it. So somehow, I experienced the drop off point. When I asked him afterwards how deep we went, he said 10 meters. But I know when I looked at the watched while underwater, it said 12. maybe it’s the time that I saw not the meters. Hahaha. It’s okay. 10 meters is still 30 feet! Hehehe.

Honestly, even if it was just last weekend, I already miss diving. I’m getting addicted to it. And my cousin Randall just has one response to that: “Welcome to the club!” hehehe.

===========================================

This is a long overdue tag from Duke and Wil. 10 things that I would never do. Never say never is one of my mottos, but I hope I’ll never do these talaga.

I’ll never…
1. Regret anything. – I don’t want to regret anything. I just learn from things that happen. But the closest to regret I’ve ever done I guess is resigning from my former job. hehe

2. Eat a cockroach. – hello?!?!?! I can’t even touch nor look at one

3. Have an affair with a married man. – especially after experiencing what happened to our family after my dad have an affair. No way will I destroy a family for my own sake. And it’s bad. Period.

4. Step on other people to get ahead/Ruining a person’s reputation for my own benefit. – I have to copy this Duke. And I just can’t bear that I’m better off than someone by not being fair. I just can’t. ako pa! I’m always concerned with other people’s feelings

5. Date/Have a relationship with my friend’s ex. - I don’t know. It’s just a rule for me

6. Migrate to another country. – I just don’t like to. As I said in my previous post, I would like to live in the province. I just imagine myself living in another country because I’m studying there or my job assigned me there for a certain period of time.

7. Work in a government agency. – this is a big HAHA for me. Because unbelievably, I’m working for a government agency now. I still do not have my civil service, to give me an excuse not to work for the government, yet I’m here. Haaay… hehehe

8. Work that involves finance. – In college, I failed only two subjects. And they are both Math subjects (Math 17 and 36). Hehe. And my highschool Math teacher told me that I’m good, but I’m careless. So imagine.. I can’t really be involved with money nor math. Yet my previous and present jobs both deal with money and finance. And now I’m planning either to get an MBA or Masters in Finance. Labo ko sobra! Hahaha.

9. Commit suicide. - I’m afraid of hell

10. Send chain letters. – but I can tag other people. Actually, I just can’t think of anything for number 10. hahaha.

So the 5 lucky people whom I’ll tag are:
Tani – coz you love answering memes. Hehe
Jase – I can’t think of anything that you would never do
Vina – same reason as Jase and coz you are going in a vacation. Labo! Hahaha!
Ate Mai – I just want to learn what you would never do
Lei – coz I missed you last Monday. hehehe

Blessed

i was supposed to do Duke's tag, but i think it can wait. hehehe.

last night, at the Singles prayer meeting, the Gospel was the Wedding at Cana. for those who are not familiar with the story, this is Jesus first miracle. He attended a wedding and the wine ran out. so, Mary asked Jesus to perform a miracle. and Jesus just turned the water into a wine.

last night, the activity at the prayer meeting was to write in a piece of paper the events in 2006 when the wine ran out, and on the other side to write the events when the water turned into wine. in other words, problems/trials and blessings.

natahimik ako bigla. sobrang i can't think of any when the wine ran out moments ko. all i can think of are blessings. i know i didn't celebrate my bday for 2006, but i still didn't consider it as a problem or what. there came a point when i don't want to serve in the LSS or SE, but still i didn't see a trial in my life. emo moments lang ako nun. hehehe. but for the blessings, a lot. for every problem that i'll try to think of, all i can think of is a blessing.

but the way to describe 2006 for me is a year of semi-fulfillment of my dreams.

first, 2006 had been a year full of travelling. around philippines nga lang. but it was really from northern luzon to mindanao. and mostly are job-related. coz that's what i really like with my work. the travels.

second, i asked God for something. well, it was a demanding request. but still i asked Him for it. and you know what??? He somehow gave it to me. well, still not really given to me. but He made me see that it is possible. that nothing is really impossible if it's according to His will. well, now i still don't know what His will really is.

third, being able to serve in Mark 10. i love kids. and i really want to be a pre-school teacher. but it's not for me. so God just gave me the Mark10 kids. Mark 10 is a ministry for the kids. the Youth ministry is for 13yo to 21yo. Mark 10 is for those whose age is below 12. saya!

fourth, i got to serve Him in many ways. especially by sharing and testifying about His love. and being able to serve in outreach programs. also, with this outreach programs, i got to serve again with the Youth ministry. it's 2007 already, but super blessed tlga ako with the YLSS Lipa.

fifth, my family. i saw how blessed i am with my family. and got to see most of them again at the end of the year.

ang dami pang blessings, but for now ito muna. i know 2007 will be a year of change for me. there will be lots of changes. i just don't know what. but i pray that it is for good and has something to do with what i'm praying for for the longest time. hehehe.

but a change that i know is specific. i'll be fast in taking a bath. 15 minutes maximum. new year's resolution. hahaha! sorry tlga guys last saturday. for the YLSS Lipa Team, thank you so much. you had been more than a blessing last weekend talaga. Jimly! :)

Back from the Visayas Region

Warning: a long post

When my officemates asked me, where had I been and I just went to work yesterday. My answer would always be.. Visayas. I don’t wanna tell the three (naks! Three daw!) places that I’ve visited. Actually, it’s only two. Gusto ko three, bket ba? I still count Leyte. I saw their church, and the wet market. So counted na yun. Hehehe.

Two of my favorite cousins got married last Dec. 29 and Jan. 6. One in Cebu City and the other in Roxas City. These two cousins of mine are the 1st two grandchildren in my father side. And I’m the third. So, napressure ako bigla. Hahaha. Of course, I would like to be next. Hahaha. When people asked me before when I would get married? My answer is Feb. 2007. So it would be December, January and February. But as my cousin told me, it’s not really the month that mattered. They’re just a week apart. So your wedding date should be just a week after. Hmmm.. that might be the reason why my wedding didn’t push thru (duh! As if I have a bf to get married to. Hehe).

With the long vacation, especially with nothing to do except to eat and sleep, I realized a lot of things. Some of these are:

  • Even i regularly hear mass, I still don't know how to be a commentator. for both weddings, I was the commentator/lector yet there are still eroors. Contrary to the chismis that Randall's wedding is my practice and DP's wedding is my performance, I feel that for both it is still practice. Mali-mali. Hahaha. Sorry talaga dear cousins. I just really don't know how to be a commentator.

  • It’s a known fact that I would like to live in the province. Weird ako. When every Filipino likes to go out of the country, me, I would like to settle in one of the provinces. After being in Cebu, Leyte (talaga naman. hahaha) and Roxas this past week. I think it’s really Cebu for me. Even if they said that it’s like Manila, Cebu is still different. There’s still something provincial about the place. Hehe. But I still never know… I could end up in a province that has no electricity. (I can’t imagine myself! Hehe)

  • Even if I’m going to Cebu since time immemorial, I think I still haven’t been to its tourist spots such as the Magellan’s Cross and the Taoist Temple. But for those who have plans of going to Cebu in the future you should try eating at Harbour City (I’m so happy for my 1st day Cebu, I’ve tasted their rice toppings again. Well, not in harbour city but in Ding Qua Qua. But it’s still the same.) For the pasalubong for your family who you’re going to see agad, give them Masi. My all-time favorite. It’s not really a known food for non-Cebuanos. It’s not a usual pasalubong coz nasisira siya agad. But it’s yummy, somewhat like tikoy with nuts inside :)

  • I am blessed with my family. Eversince, I already know that I am blessed. But the past week made me feel that I’m really blessed to be a Racho. Starting from my titos and titas to my cousins. Wala ako masabi. Bow ako. My father’s siblings are really kind, mabait and selfless. I’ve discovered this way before pa. Even if my father is like that, they still love my dad. Though he would hear regular sermons from Tita Baby, still he is loved and never abandoned by his siblings. Proof that they are not selfish with one another: when other families would fight for their inheritance. The Racho siblings do not fight. I think they would even give their share to one another. They are not millionaires (I just don’t know with Tito Boy, hehe), but they would still not be greedy about their inheritance.

  • Another discovery... my father’s family are quiet. I didn’t notice that before til my tita’s family (who had been my dad’s neighbor) pointed it out Telling us that when they were kids, they would not know that there’s a person in the other house, until my Lola would sneeze. Hehe. It’s just then that I realized that they are a quiet bunch and the noisy ones are their wives (Tita Mellie, Tita Virgie, Tita Pennie and my mom). Hahaha.

  • My cousins and I were like reminiscing about how joyful our childhood Christmases were. That they are beyond comparison. Every Christmas and May (Tagbilaran’s fiesta), the whole family would go to Bohol. So Christmases were always fun. This went on til early 90’s coz Lolo Dinoy already died, and it’s like it would be expensive already. Now, our Christmases are like pale coz we miss the Christmas when we were kids. I thought it was only us, yun pala even our other cousins like Kuya Randall feel that way. Kuya Randall, enjoy ka pala nun khet na nagbabasa ka lang? hehehe. Joke lang! Love you! So because of that I proposed something to Kuya Randall: that when we have kids of our own, we would have a reunion every Christmas.

  • What I’ve realized when I’m already in Manila.. the reminiscing that happened didn’t really have scenarios. We just reminisce how enjoyable and happy it was but we didn’t really say what happened during those times. Labo noh?

  • All of us grandchildren want to go back to Tamblot (my grandparents’ house) and restore it to its glory (and also show Eric all the rooms. Wawang bata. Di pa raw niya naikot lahat ng kwarto). My dad and his siblings are thinking of selling it, I think. Wala nga silang pakialam sa mga mana nila diba? Hehe. Lyn and Julie, convince Tito Boy not to sell it and just give it to us the grandchildren. Let’s have our reunions there again. Then for the farm, let’s plant and make it a business. But Kay, no marijuana. Adik ka talaga! Hehehe. Lyn and Julie, when you go back here in the Philippines (October ba?), let’s have a grandchildren business meeting, okay? Naks! Hehehe.

  • We cousins are close even if we don’t see each other often (especially us who resides in Manila). We would just see each other when we were kids twice a year yet the bonding is different. My cousins’ cousins on the mother side said that they’re not close with our cousins because they don’t see them. Ganun din kme. But still, we have bonded. And we guys have matured. Before, 1st days would always be awkward especially since we don’t speak Bisaya. But now, it’s like we have seen each other just yesterday, and even if they speak in Bisaya, my sister and I (I just don’t know with Eric) would somehow understand them.

  • Whew! What a long post. I still have lots to say but I don’t wanna bore you anymore. Thank you for reading this, if ever you read it nga. Hehehe.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

    Operation Help-out

With the present state of the Bicol region after the typhoon, my friend decided to organize a relief operation for them. Well, since it is almost a one-man team, it was just a small one. A help targeting a hundred families. I helped my friend by also asking some of my officemates to donate something especially food. Also, I helped with the packing of these goods. So while packing the goods, I felt really overwhelmed. It’s because there were just only 6 of us there and all of us are helping out, not because our company said so, it’s not for our school, office, organization or for anyone but it is because we just wanted to help out. and when we were labeling our box, we don’t know how to label it since we don’t represent anything. We just want to help on our own. Ang galing lang! Those who have helped out won’t be recognized because they have no names. They can’t say thank you to this Organization or Company, because it’s not a group, they are all individuals who have just created a team.

And something that I can’t forget is when we were packing the donated clothes. While sorting out, Ace told us “Remember that these are not poor families.” It’s true. They are not poor families. They live in nice subdivisions, houses in Bicol then in a blink everything is wiped out. And now they don’t have anything. We really don’t know what fate would bring us.

    first impression never lasts

Last week, I went out with some of my officemates. And there, I learned that before, when I was still new in our office, they don’t like me. but now they love me. Ha! Hehehe. and to think that it was the time I was still a little quiet in the office and really goody-goody. I think that’s the time I was prim and proper. Of course! Coz I was trying to make a good impression. And still they didn’t like me. but after some months, years, they learned to like me. not only like.. but also to love me.

When I was also an applicant in econsoc, my organization in college, part of the initiation was the human auction. The procedure is that the members would bid for an applicant and whoever bids the highest would have I think 5 hours time of the applicant where he can ask the applicant to clean his house, do his term paper or whatever. In other words, the applicant will be the member’s maid. Anyway, when we were auctioned, i was the lowest priced applicant. Pathetic noh? Hehe. Anyway, I know naman before that the members, except for my blocmates, did not like me. that if ever I’ll give up in the initiation, they wouldn’t mind. But when I became a member, I think they are glad that I’m part of the organization. That they already see me as an asset to the org.

What I just can’t understand is what people see in me first. Some thinks that I am mataray. Others, I don’t know. It’s just majority don’t like me the first time they see me. and I did nothing wrong to them yet they hate my guts. I just really can’t understand it. I’m just quiet in the corner, and still people think that I’m mataray. it’s just that I don’t know what to do to make a good first impression.

How about you? Do you have any problems with first impression? What is generally the first impression of others of you?

    Trivia(l)

I know I am intelligent. I realized this when I was entering college. I have never been included in any top 10 of my class, as in never. But still I know I am intelligent. It’s because I have passed all my entrance exams, and some of those in the top 10 did not. This is my blog so I have all the right to boast. Hahaha. And my mom told me (and I believe her) that maybe if I just studied before, I would have been an honor student. Yup, I don’t study. I just watch tv. I just have intelligent genes. Hahaha. Anyway, last Saturday I went to Timezone. And there is this new game there, it’s a trivia game. I haven’t been to timezone for a long time, so for me it’s something new. It’s just embarrassing coz out of the 6 questions, I only got 1. and my competitors all got 3. ang dami pang nanonood! Waaah! Yabang ko kse! Hahaha. I want to play again, but I’m afraid I might got embarrassed again. But I’ll be back. I hope this weekend to regain my pride. I hope my brother would be with me. coz he’s really the intelligent one and I want to see if I can beat him. Hehe.

    a nonsense update...

i'm just writing this coz my officemate keeps on bugging me.. "mag-update ka na. gusto mo lang tlga makita lagi pictures mo." bket ba? blog ko toh ha!

honestly, i have nothing to write. i don't know why. i just celebrated my birthday. wait! did i even celebrate it? just had dinner with my family. wala na ngang celebration, it had been the most tiring one pa. God didn't grant my bday wish. that my phone be fixed on my bday. even for just that day. so i used one of those old phones at home and since most of the numbers are saved on my phone's directory, only the number would appear. good thing i've written it down. so whole day, i am searching my little black book for the name. haay... and the mrt ride in the afternoon. waah! i was really tired!

now, i'm really thankful my phone is fixed again. sa sobrang tuwa, i've told my dad: "love you pa! i still love you pala." sobrang tuwa diba?

thank you to those who greeted me on my birthday. sorry for those people i've asked pa kung sino kayo. and for those who didn't greet me... be thankful i don't have any party this year or else you're not invited. hahaha

    face(s) of tin-tin

When people look at my picture they would tell me that don’t change much. They would easily recognize who I am. I guess I still really look the same. Until now, I still look young. Or maybe since then I already look old. Here are my pictures through the years, you be the judge if my I still look the same. I won’t include my baby pictures.

I think I’m 7 years old here. And all I wanted for the Christmas are my two front teeth

My favorite picture. I don’t know why. My first holy communion. I was in grade two, and most probably it was held on October. So I guess I’m just 8 years old that time.

Another no eyes smile. Second year college. I’m 17 or 18.

Even if I have a short hair and wearing braces. Still the same.

And a picture taken just last July, so I’m 25 years old in this picture and after a month was told that I looked like I’m 30. Grrrr!!!

So what can you say? I still look the same, right? It’s just that every year, I just grow and grow. Hehehe. Yup, every year I would always hear: “You’re getting fatter.” Wait! Every year I would also hear them say: “You’re getting prettier.” hahahaha

I noticed something, my smile didn’t change also. Ever since it was already pacute :)
