Post-Honeymoon

after posting about honeymoon suggestions, now it's about babies!!!

i'm just happy for two of my close friends. they found out yesterday that the wife is pregnant. yipee!!! after 1 year of waiting. i don't know if they have thought of a name for their baby. basta ako, i already have names for my babies. excited! hahaha. if it's a boy, he's gonna be named Kyle Vincent. but i'm still thinking if about kyle, but the vincent will really be there. i just love saying the vincent. hehehe. and if it's a girl, she's Samantha. her nickname will be Sam.

what about you? what will you name your baby?

Hmmm, my younger brother's daughter is named Samantha, or Sam for short.

I don't think I have a name yet for my future kids but it will probably be Bentot if it's a boy, and Menggay if it's a girl.

Para maiba naman...

itz good that u have your babies's names ready... so you don't have to think when they come, and saves you from naming badly :O

You could buy a book that has male and female names and their meanings too. It's a fad to give exotic names to children nowdays. Haven't you noticed black athlete's ( NBA players) names ? Voshon Leonard, Latrel Sprewell, Kobe Bryant..atbp... they're orig sounding names.

ako iniisip ko pa pangalan ng mapapangasawa ko, hahaha.

tin! at babies din pala entry mo yesterday!

well, like you, since elementary i was frustrated at my parents for not naming me ashley...wahaha! sisihin ba ang parents? kaya pag nagka-baby ako ashley pag girl. Ashley Pauleen, the second name is combination ng names namin ni hubby. Pag boy naman Asher..wala pang second name..we'll think of it pag andiyan na siya hehehe!

I don't know yet but I want a really short name that's easy to spell and easy to pronounce by people of all nationalities. I also want just one name for my child, not two or three (like most Filipinos'). I don't want any nicknames either... just that one simple name. E.g. "Hoy!" Just joking on that last one Tin. :)

i gave my kids safe, common yet beautiful names (nathan and kelly), because i don't want them to experience what i had to go through when i was young.. having to always correct people about how my name is spelled. pero kung God will give me another child, i'd name him or her a name that is flashier. such as LIGHTNING or MOESHA.

well, it's like this.

i love Vin Diesel, and i actually went through a point in my life not too long ago (like...last year), when i actually wanted to name my future son as Vin Diesel (yup, first name Vin Diesel)

of course, i was met with an emphatic no by the future father, and my sister, and my best friend...and will still probably be ridiculed by everyone else who'd read this.

What about Pedro? and Inday? You can't get more filipino than that! :-D

The name should have a meaning. So, I'd be serious on researching about it. I'd also like it to be just one name, for me having two gives more disadvantages. In some countries, they put emphasis on the meaning of their names. After saying my name to a Thai, he immediately asked me, "What's the meaning of your name?" Honestly I don't know what to tell him, so I made up quite a good meaning. I told him, "It means I CARE, I'm a caring person." Hehe... And do you know that some pinoy names have bad meaning in other countries? It's good to do some research. ;)

mai: kaya nga when i read your entry, sbe ko,yung sa akin pinanganak na. hehehe. and mai, di ka rin mahilig sa Ash ha ;p

toe: Hoy? ang dami nyang kapangalan sa kanto. hahaha. why not Toe? simple and short :)

vina: hindi naman obvious na you love Vin Diesel. and i'm glad the future father doesn't agree with you on that. hehe :)

snglguy: my cousin's nickname is inday (bisaya kse), so can't do. liwayway na lang. hehehe

tin-tin said...

carey: i have two names. and i like it. kaya it's okay with me. RSS? sorry carey, ignorant about that. hehe.

regarding meaning of names.. NEKO, remember asking me about the meaning of my name? hehe. i would tell my kids they are named like that coz it's nice to say. no joke. i really love saying vincent. sayang nga i don't have friends named vincent

tani: i like the name nathan. but i have TH deficiency kse. somahirap na. hehe. Lightning? flashy indeed :)

Hmm... Parang family material ka talaga Tin ah. hehe... Anak ka ng lima.

There seem to be a banwagon of "kyle" naming nowadays. Think it again if you want it. But vincent is good. it's the name of one of the greatset artist/painter ever lived-- Vincent Van Gogh. Nagpakamatay nga lang yung tao.:)

Samantha is a nice name too, Two of my neices are named Samantha.

tin-tin said...

2 lang siguro. hehe. i'm really having second thoughts about the name kyle. coz what if di marunong ng english yung magbasa? baka iba yung pagbasa nya. mahirap na. hehe. with regards to vincent, si vincent van gogh lang naman siguro ang nagpakamatay :)

yuri said...

tin sory typo.. "no baby" names hahaha....

Anonymous said...

Well, if I have my own son I will name him Dean Alexander Roald or if it's a girl I will name her Isabelle Tira Sunniva

tin-tin said...

yuri: why no baby names? sayang naman

charles: long names. poor kid when she writes it. hehe. but they are nice name. dean alexander. nice :)

sa comment ni Snglguy - I remembered tuloy an ex-bf who wanted to name our future kids Diego and Miguel, kaya tuloy hindi kami nagkatuluyan ha ha!

wala pa naman but hubby and I wants something like what Snglguy mentioned too - Samantha nga pero Sam ang nickname, Andrea tapos Andie ang nickname, Joey for Joanne, basta wala pa talaga :)

hahaha. yan ang reason kaya nagkakaroon ng break-up, pangit kse ang suggested names. hehehe. ganda ng samantha, noh? :)
