Fatal Lovelife

my childhood bestfriend got engaged last week! congrats danny and tina! my sister and i attended the engagement party. naks! oo nga noh! bday and engagement party in one. and when tish was showing me the video of tina accepting the proposal (coz we were late. hehe), my sister told me... "ate tin, si ljieu na lang.." meaning i just have only one bestfriend left who is not engaged nor married. i was supposed to contradict her when i realized she is right. rlyn is married, tina is engaged.. it's just ljieu. but ljieu has a boyfriend. and i think it's just a matter of time before they'll tie the knot. that means i'm the only one single.

tina and i were texting each other yesterday and she asked me.. "When will you get married?" my reply is: "Two years from now. that's why you should pressure yourself to find a husband for me. hehehe"

and the other week, my mom and i saw my cousin who is based in cebu. and my mom asked him to find me a bf. my cousin asked how old i am and i told him i'm only 26. and he said that i'm still young. coz he married at the age of 31. hehehe. and i said that i'm not pressuring myself. it's just my mom who is pressuring me. hehehe.

seriously, i'm not pressuring myself to look for a boyfriend or husband to be or whatever. it's like i'm still not prepared for that. no, it's not because i'm not over anyone yet. it's just a personal mission in life. labo? malabo talaga! hehehe. it's like i want to focus on my career first and if i'm okay with my career, then i'll focus on my lovelife.

and they said that.. either you'll have a great career or a great lovelife. it's one or the other and not the same. but for my case i have none. so maybe, it's not my career i should concentrate on. maybe it's my lovelife. siguro dapat kong kareerin ang lovelife. heheheeh.

just want to share something. a former officemate told me that he'll introduce me to a friend. i said okay and he asked if i want to see his picture so i said sure. and you know what he showed me? not just a picture. but a resumé! when i saw it. i was really laughing and laughing. he's right. at least now i would know already if we're compatible and if his work is okay for me. hahahaha.

i haven't met the guy and i didn't really read his resumé. but that is something new. hehehe

regarding my title: i just said out loud what could my title be. and an officemate asked what about and i said about lovelife. he just answered... Fatal Lovelife. so that's it! bwahahaha

i'm really glad to see that there are more and more women liberating themselves from the false notion of marriage as a precondition to a full womanhood...

the resume thing is a smartie, we should spread the word.

trade-off din daw yung swerte sa sugal at swerte sa lovelife.. kaya pala magaling ka sa in-between. haha :)

Ate Tin, all the best na lang sa lovelife! Don't have to pressure yourself because when the time is right, he will automatically appear with a bouquet of roses in his hand. Romantic, diba?

:D

aside from a CV, also ask for an NBI clearance, ITR, hand-written letter of recommendation from their local parish priest... among other things.

'Wag mo lang akong tutularan. May sticker kasi sa puso ko, nakasulat:

"Mabuhay ang lahat ng single!" :D

Hi Tintin,
It's should not be fatal lovelife but fated lovelife. That's okay that you concentrated first in establishing your career rather than rushed headlong on an ill advised lovelife. Love can always wait. There will always be long lines of admirers on the doorsteps of a successful career girl. You can choose from among the best if you are in the level of the best. Look at those who rushed headlong into early and ill advised marriages. Where are they now? Never fear that you will miss the last bus to marriage. There's no such thing. Just trust the Lord that He will give you your destined man for life and pray that he is already along the way. God never fails those who trust in Him. Smile. God bless and have a nice and love filled day.

i admire the people who are able to follow the age that they have set for themselves for marriage. i set a date/age for myself at a later time pero hindi naman natuloy. para kasing nawawala yung spontaneity.

Hi there! You should probably give that guy a chance and read his resumé. You'll just never know. ;)
And yeah, thanks for dropping by my blog and leaving a comment! I now added you to my "The 300" list. Cheers!

hi Tin-tin. Ganyan din ako dati... ako yun naiwan ng mga bestfriends ko. Pero when lahat sila may mga asawa na, tinanggap ko na na ako yun huli and it's OKAY. Eventually dumating din yun hubby ko. :) Your man will come when you least expect it. So don't look for it. Just be your best self for God and for your self. Be the person your parents can be proud of.

hindi naman kasi hinahanap yan eh. It just comes when you least expect it. Though sometimes, it's a matter of having it in the wrong place and at the wrong time... even though it feels so right.

Not being pressured is the right attitude. Of course, it can be hard when everyone around you should be looking for a relationship. I think it is better to be single and happy than attached and unhappy / anxious / uncertain / etc.

Of course, as always, I am not typical.

Somewhere someone is waiting for you. Sometimes it takes time before you meet...
No use to rush into a relationship and end unhappy. Better wait for Mr. Right to pass your way!

So, kamusta naman ang applicant mo? Hehe. :P

Wala akong alam sa lab kaya wala akong comment jan. hehe. Pero they're always telling me the right one is just around the corner. :D
