i had been a fan of Maging Sino Ka Man. it's a television series here in the philippines. i got addicted to it since i've watched it from the beginning. and the actors are really good. it would really make you feel the drama. it has just ended last night, but there's a book 2. honestly, i don't know if i'm happy that there's book2 or maiinis. hehehe. but i think i'll still watch the book2. hahaha. and another thing that makes me like it, are the lines.. quotable quotes. and as a tribute to that, here is my list of the quotable quote lines.. for my foreign readers, i am sorry. i'll not translate the lines. i might translate it the wrong way. hehe.

Birthday Wish List

i know that my birthday is still in 6 months time. but i already want to post my bday wish list. why? i just want to. hahaha. and unlike in the registry that when the gift is bought it will be erased, it would be okay for me to receive these gifts more than once. these are shallow gifts and not that expensive but these are things that make Pretty Tin :)

1. Lampshade - i sleep with lights on. so that would consume a lot of bulbs. and electricity bill. hahaha. but my mom is not mad with me about the bill. only about the lightbulb. so if i have lots of lampshades, i won't be replacing the bulbs often. i'll use another lamp, then when all are burned out, time to buy a new bulb. hehe.

2. Ballpen - i always use ballpen. that's it. hehe

3. Handkerchief - i can't leave without a hanky. before, i think i have the most hankies. but now, it's like all my hankies are missing. as in ang konti na lang at mabibilang mo na. sad

4. Shoes - i know every girl wants this. but i have another reason. hehe. i don't know what's with my feet now. but my shoed don't last long now. i mean my shoes could only last for a month's time. and i don't even use that that often. i really can't believe it. especially if during elementary and high school days, i use only one pair each year. and di siya nasisira. weird! that's why shoes will be a great gift for me.

5. Flipflops/slippers - i love wearing them. i am proud of my feet kse. hahaha.

6. Watch - i'm not comfortable without a watch. it's nice to have lots of watch so you can use a different one with every outfit.

7. Puzzle Books or whatever Puzzles - i love solving mind puzzles. crosswords, or whatever. i always want to test my mind.

this is just for fun. but if you want to take this seriously, why not? hehe. and if you think there is a better gift for me but not in the list, i'll still accept it. hahaha. how about you? any bday wishlist? :)

this is a totally long-overdue meme from Alternati.

should it be in the moviehouse? coz if not, definitely 50 First Dates; Little Mermaid; and Sound of Music. the first two are faves of my sister and she never gets tired of watching it. since isa lang tv, no choice. for the sound of music, when i was still a kid we would always watch it. singing every song

multiple times for me would be only twice, i guess. Superman Returns (tama ba? basta yung latest) and Titanic. yup, i've only seen titanic twice. leo is not that ultimate crush anymore during that time coz every girl has a crush on him already

50 First Dates and Little Mermaid (paulit-ulit ba naman panoorin). Sound of Music (when i was a kid). Highschool Musical (we don't have Disney channel, i really a borrowed a dvd and watched it everyday and asked my officemate to download the songs for me so that i can related to the Mark10 kids)

Any movie. as long as i know the song. ako pa! i love to sing!

I am Sam, Music and Lyrics (it's a cute film. if you're for serious films, have a break. watch this. hehe), Life is Beautiful, The Godfather, etc etc

i have lots of VCDs and DVDs. but what i really collect is FRIENDS VCDs. it dhould be VCD and not DVD coz that's the collection i have started.

sam milby? i'm not kidding! i admit, i'm a fan of Maging Sino Ka Man and i was really surprised with his acting skills

nope. but i've slept in the movie house. it's because my friends watched a film about cockroaches, and i have no choice but to enter the theater. so i just closed my eyes the whole time and slept. okay lang. just came from manila. we watched this in calamba. i went down in waltermart to meet them and they are really kind to me. instead na maawa saken at manood ng magandang film, they (all of them) really chose that film eventhough they know i hate cockroaches.

Nasaan Ka Man. claudine-jericho-diether movie. promise! after the movie, i was just really crying. i watched it for an FGD and i'm glad i did. liked that film. i'll recommend that film also

Spiderman 3. and hopefully, later we'll watch Shrek3. and next week, Pirates 3. i just realized, movies this may are all part 3.

same with Alternati, i think it's a tagalog film. Susan Roces-Eddie Gutierrez tandem pa malamang. hahaha. and i think when i was still a kid, there are not much cartoons or films for kids na for kids talaga.

ummm.. i can mention a lot but i can't think one right now. honestly, Superman Returns is one. i just really didn't like that movie.

Photography at Its Finest

When I was still a kid, I've totally wanted to be a photographer. That's my ambition, doctor and photographer. A doctor photographer. hehe. I would rather be behind the lens, than have my photo taken. But i just don't know why I still have lots of pictures. Hahaha. Anyway, in my younger years when my uncle worked in Saudi, his gift to me is my very own camera! A Canon something-something. Hahaha. Sorry, I'm not into details. Since I wanted to be a photographer, I'm really envious with those who are good in taking photos. Coz of bloghopping, I discovered these great photographers, some are professionals and some just have it for their hobby. But i love these photographers coz they really know how to take pictures and they get to places. Ladies and gentlemen, may i present to you my favorite photographers:

Kuya Beautiful, but more known as Al. I didn't know he is a photographer until Multiply. I've never seen him around campus carrying a camera, pool stick pwede pa. Hehe. So I was surprised to know that he's a photographer now. And he is good. I love this photo, actually the album, it's a sweet album. But i love this photo the most because of the caption... Hold my hand, don't be afraid. Hopeless romantic! Haha.



Jake's blog is the first photoblog that I saw. I was really amazed. I believe I asked him agad if I can link him up coz I really love his photos. I easily became a fan of his. I'm totally envious of this guy. Why? Because he takes good pictures, has been to Batanes and a number of times to Amanpulo! Inggit mode! This photo is in Batanes. Since there is no electricity, he captured it through the stars.



Sidney is a foreigner. A Belgian, I think. But when you look at his site, you'll think he's a Filipino because he talks about the Philippines and capturing it in photos pa. Honestly, i think he has seen more of the Philippines than I have, like the fiestas in different places or other traditions. And I'm really learning a lot of Filipino traditions from him! Kahiya to admit, but true. He's more Filipino than most of us. Among the many Filipino festivals that he has posted, why did I choose this picture? Because I think it's the most "controversial." Hehehe. And i really had a hard time looking for this picture. Hinanap ko talaga siya.



Cruise is an engineer (tama diba?) who has the luxury of time. Well, I'm assuming he has coz he's always out somewhere, most of the time hiking the mountains all over the Philippines. This is a picture in Mt. Apo, nice sunrise noh?



Iskoo is my template repairman. yup, i'll always mention that. Hahaha. His blog is a photoblog. almost everyday or is it everyweek, he has a new photo to share. And what amazes me is that a lot comments. Maganda naman talaga. Pero ang dami lang talaga nagcocomment. I mean, how was he discovered? Sikat ka na ba nang hindi ko man lang nalalaman? Hehehe. But he's really good. And he takes a photo of anything and everything. As in everything. Even the sole of his shoes.



SC is Storm Crypt. First, it was in blogger describing the places he has travelled on. But now SC transferred to Flickr. If before he receives only a few comments though SC deserves a lot, now it's overflowing. Hehehe. I don't know if the bee was placed in the flower for the sake of photography or it was really there. Pati yun big deal saken, labo! Hehehe.



Sir Tony is someone I've known through Kuya Al. I'm not really sure if he's a teacher or what. But almost everyone calls him sir, so I call him Sir na rin. Gaya-gaya. Hahaha. But when he reply to comments or describe his albums, he makes it sound like he's still an amateur. Amateur or professional, I don't care. Coz he really makes good pictures. He can capture the moment. And he is kind also. I remember telling him once that I didn't like a picture, and he didn't get mad. I don't know how this photo is ranking in the digital photography contest but it deserves to win.



Ferdz is another travelling photographer. He also has been to Batanes and Cambodia! Inggit mode alert! He does not only describe the scenery but also makes you feel the travel itself coz he describes into details what he did like how long you have to trek (well, not that detailed).. basta! he'll somehow describe the process. And how good is he? He won a contest sponsored by National Geographic. I was supposed to include that picture but when I saw the pictures of his travel in Zambales, it amazed me more. I like the pictures coz it will make you think if the place is really in the Philippines.



So there you go. Aren't the pictures great? And those are not their best photos. Aplogies to Ralph coz I have not included him in the list though his camera is 10 megapixels. (Actually Ralph I just wanna mention your name. Coz you should always be mentioned, right Meyms? Hehe)
