little kid

the other day in the restaurant, a little girl fell from her chair and her face hit the floor. she was crying really hard. but after five minutes, she was running again, as if nothing happened. then it made me realize. we should all be like that little girl. when we get hurt, we cry but not for too long. then we stand up and enjoy life. but we should learn from the hurt that we have experienced.

well, i guess i'm like that kid. especially when it comes to physical pain. i have a low tolerance for physical pain. never got spanked when i was a kid. no, it's not because i'm a good girl, my parents just don't believe spanking is the solution. and i wasn't really engaged into sports. trust me, when i get really hurt, i would cry. you know the threading of eyebrows? i cry pag nagpa-threading ako ng eyebrows. so just imagine when i tried surfing. i really cried when i got hit again by the surfboard. but even while crying, i still headed back to the waves and rode the board with body aches and all. hmmm... does that mean i'm a brave girl? hehehe

i'd also like to take this opporunity to publicly apologize to ate jopay and kuya marvin coz i wasn't able to attend the christening of baby polo. sorry talaga. pero punta talaga ako dapat. may gift na nga ako diba? kaya ready to go na. kaya lang nagka-problem ako. hanggang u.n. avenue lang ang kaya kong maglakbay mag-isa. sorry na po talaga...

uy, surfer ka pala. Where did you surf? I've only surfed La Union. the surf board hitting you can definitely hurt. I've experienced it personally. Like you, I got back on the board to surf after getting hit by the board or falling from the board. i have to. I'm renting the board and paying for the hour kasi. hehe

I don't think i'll spank my kids either... if I ever have kids, that is. :-D

We all fall and all the time we should learn how to get up, brush our knees and say, this shall all pass.

I've never been spanked either. Pareho tayong good girls. :) Uy, surfer ka na. I guess that's the best way to learn... by falling and then getting up again. Good luck on your new sport Tin-Tin!

Being able to get up and continue, in spite of pain is important. Good for you.

what makes kids endearing is their trait of not holding on to the past, they can easily forgive and forget... i remember my two pamangkins having a big fight, with both of them crying...but i was surprised after few mins, one of them said, "c'mon let's play!", then they happily ran outside the house as if nothing happened. we learn a lot from these little angels.

You have a low tolerance for physical pain? I guess you were a spoiled child ! hehe.. What about emotional pain - looks like you're much tougher in this department :)

Once I was a little girl.....
wala na, la na ko masabi lol!!
I remember a past experience that really changed my life. It was a very big decision and I remember I cried during that moment pero kinabukasan pag-gising ko ibang ako na ako.. di ako ulit umiyak, ngayon na lang ulit kasi naiiyak ako sa mga pinagsasabi ko e lol!

I also don't gree in instilling pain to discipline a child. Mas lalo silang matatakot at magtatago ng emotions nila.

Wow!

link kita ah.. hehe!!

I have a weirdly high tolerance for physical pain. Just recently I slammed a car door on my finger. It hurt really bad, but I just looked at it and went on my merry ay as if nothing happened. I bandaged it when i got home. It's healing now. heheh

I totally agree with the resilience of the little girl. Crying never accomplished anything.

Oh, and BTW... I tagged you with a looooong movie meme from snglguy. hehehe...

tin-tin said...

bw: ako spoiled?? oo yata. hahahaha ;p

cruise: oo nga noh. di ko naisip yun ha. may traumatic experience ka ba? :)

tin-tin said...

Happy weekend!

Alternati said...

hahahaha... Syempre special mention kayo. I dunno when I got the tag you two were the first ones I thought of tagging. I dunno why.
