That’s why the ex gave me a Sony Z600 before. And what I lowkey looked for when we visited Japan.

So when I heard that Samsung will have a flip phone, I got excited. I am enjoying it! Especially the cover screen. Every week, I change it to a gif of my celebrity crushes. It’s a big deal for me! I’ve been using iPhone 7Plus covered with Otterbox defender so just imagine how big it is. And my flip is a tiny baby compared to that. They would think I’m just tapping something. Hehe. But sad thing is I can’t reply to the messages.

After using only an iPhone for 8 years (and a Blackberry prior to that), I only got confused for a day but later on I’m totally comfortable already and using it with ease.

But I’m still bestfriends with Siri. Coz Okay, Google is slower in responding and is totally quiet that I don’t know if she heard/understood me. <span style="background-color: white; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "segoe ui" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;">If I’ll describe my 2019, i think it’s Arashi year for me. First time to watch their concert and first time to see them up close (and not even a concert). And I think the major extracurricular activities that I had last year was because of MJPH (an unofficial Arashi fans group in the Philippines).
I still feel so blessed to see them in Singapore. It was afterall a perfect timing. My only plan that weekend was to celebrate my birthday with friends then a week before, Sho was telling the world that they will be in Singapore on the date I’m there.
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "segoe ui" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 15px; white-space: pre-wrap;">I’m thinking why I was so blessed last year with Arashi.. i was not a major fan like some that i know of. I don’t buy their merch unless bags. I didn’t even buy their album (sorry, practicality kicked in).
Then I realized, God blessed me coz even if I was not that supportive of them myself... I was helping other fans in their fangirling feels through MJPH. I may not have spent for their CD, but I spent my own money and contributed time just so that activities will be a success.
i'm not a horror fan, but i can't stop watching this. it really made me follow it every week.

but every time i watch the drama, it makes me think. how am i as a person? how is my heart? is it free of hatred and bitterness? how can i guard my heart that i won't have bitterness in my heart?

i remember this episode, he loves his family. his family is his life. but still in the end, when he was possessed, it revealed that deep in his heart he had some bitterness in his heart regarding his family.

so if ever i would encounter someone/something who would want to possess me, would i be possessed?

also, this drama made me pray more. i am the kind of person who likes to count the seconds. i mean for example, i am waiting of something, i will count the seconds. but now, instead of counting i would recite the Lord's Prayer (Our Father).

so how about you? how's your heart?tin-tinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07950275816660590223noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6594107.post-53712982631225299052017-05-07T20:29:00.002+08:002017-05-07T20:29:35.063+08:00Day 2 in Shanghai: Feeling Better While Sicki was sick the whole trip and i think the worst is during day 2. and honestly, this is our most adventurous day. but still there are things i enjoyed even if i was feeling sickly..

Burger King in Pudong Airport

i have to mention this place. we had a red eye flight. we arrived in Shanghai at 2:30am. there's no public transpo yet, except for cabs. we can't check-in still, so what to do? stay in the airport until 6am. good thing Burger King is open for 24 hours. since it's the only open store that time, it's full. but you can stay at the connected restaurant (The Aviator). you can relax also since some of the seats are couches.

i'm not really sure what you can see in the Observatory in the Shanghai Financial Center, but if it is just the view, I recommend you just go to the restaurants of Park Hyatt Hotel (it's just beside the Observatory).

though it's only the 87th or 91st floor, at least you will have a magnificent view

and the most important of all, you can access the networking sites! Twitter, Instagram, Facebook... so if you super miss your SNS, it's a great place to visit.

honestly, with those three food, experience of dining in Park Hyatt, having our SNS, nice view and comfortable breakfast, it's like we were able to save some money compared if we went to the Observatory.
5th Floor of IFC Mall

carrying our luggages, we kinda walked around the Financial Center. and saw the IFC Mall. since there's an IFC Mall in Seoul that is memorable for me, we decided to check out this mall. we saw the directory and saw that there's a roofdeck on the 5th floor. and good thing we did! there's totally not much people and you can view the streets of the Financial Center.
it's a mall in Xintiandi. sorry, i really don't have a picture of this. but anyway, i included this coz in the mall, you can find lots of good stuff. there's a bookstore/cafe where you can mail your future self or other people in the future. just tell them when you want it to be delivered. but i think you have to buy the postcards from them. and i also saw the books Ode to Joy, and When a Snail Falls in Love (with Wang Kai and Olivia on the cover), but it's in Chinese. hehe.
and the mall has a supermarket. honestly, i think this supermarket sells the expensive stuff. hahaha. but! a big but! we've looked at a lot of stores selling white rabbit, and this is where we found the cheapest white rabbit pack. so i suggest that you buy white rabbit there.

and one thing i like again in this supermarket. they sell Rio. hahaha. i just have to buy it coz Yang Yang is endorsing it and you can see it in almost all mainland dramas. though i didn't see three squirrels there..
literally our favorite restaurant in Shanghai. we ate there 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed in Shanghai. and the reason we did not eat on the second night is because it is closed. the food is great and the servers are friendly and fast. though on the first day we had difficulties in communicating, later on we got used to each other. hahaha. they recognize us already. and the food is not that expensive.

how did we discover the place? before the trip, i searched on top restaurants in Xintiandi and this is in the list. this is on the top of my list but i thought that i'll have difficulty in finding it since it's not in iPhone map. so we tried looking for the second in my list. then we passed by it. and i told my companions that it's in my list so we tried it.
we asked what are the bestsellers and i have to agree that they really are the bestsellers except for one. anyway, here are our favorite dishes that we ordered and i recommend that you order them also. i can't find the picture of the menu, so i'll just post the picture of the food and just put what i remembered from the dish (and we didn't order all of them on the first day. hehe)
while i was going around Xintiandi alone, of all the malls there, i don't know but i decided to enter K11. and i think i made the right decision.
what i like about the mall is that parts of it is like an art exhibit. i was not able to explore the other exhibits. but when i visited, there's also an instruction on how to do a crane, but of course i failed. but i tried coz i want to do this and have my wish come true.
i don't know anything about Shanghai. i have just started a drama filmed in Shanghai, so i really don't know anything. i tried to do our itinerary but i failed. i only did he first day and a little on the second day. my companions are not also familiar with Shanghai and we don't have any Chinese skills. also Google is not working. so how did we survive?
(note: this is not a paid blog, but it just so happened that they're the ones we used and i would just like to share it instead of people wondering what it is. also, i'm an iphone user during the trip so mostly would be based on iphone, just kindly search it on Google Play)
this helps a lot especially if you love to commute coz you can also use this when you ride the bus. i'm guessing even with the other transportation, you can use it. but at least just even with subway, it would save you time and effort of buying tickets. and the card is just 20 Yuan.

it's in Shanghai that i realized i relied on Google too much. of course i can't use Google translate which is the only translator app i have in my phone. good thing my sister has the Naver Papago Translate app. it helped us communicate with our driver and others. just type what you would like to say and show the Chinese translation to the other person. and because of the app, our driver led us to a cheap restaurant that is really good.

i truly recommend that you visit Suzhou. the parks there are really good to visit. but it's better to rent a car. why? (1) coz it's far. (2) the parks are not walking distance from each other so it's better to rent a car to make your life easier.

we rented a car from ShangCar.com and Felicia who became our contact person is really helpful. i've inquired from a few other sites and she was the one who sent the lowest rate. and the great thing about them is even if it's last minute, they were accommodating and helpful. we decided to just rent a car on the day of our departure. i just messaged her at 9am and we needed the car at 11pm. our car was Buick GL8. just drop them an email at info@shangcar.com.

Val was a great host. she patiently answers all my questions, and trust me i have a question everyday (like is there a church nearby). even before we booked, she was already helpful. her place is in a perfect location.

i very well recommend her properties. though the one where we stayed, you should be quiet but it's okay. you can check all her Shanghai homes here . i think all her other homes also have great locations based on the reviews.

<span style="color: orange; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">

<span style="color: orange; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">9. Whatsapp and WeChat

these two are the popular chats in China. sometimes Viber would work but not most of the time. Facebook messenger, i would receive notifications but we can't open them. so these apps (ad iMessage/FaceTime) are what we use.

what's good about WeChat is that it has a translator, so it makes communication easier.

<span style="color: orange; font-family: "verdana" , sans-serif; font-size: large;">10. Look to Your Left and to Your Right Before Crossing the Street

even if you're on the pedestrian lane, you still should look (especially to your left) before you cross. coz the traffic for vehicles in Shanghai is.. turn left/right with care

i hope this list would be of any help to those traveling to Shanghai and i guess to other China cities.

The only Chinese i know is "xie xie". This also goes for my sister and friend. So how did we survive Shanghai? Of course by the ever reliable internet! Yeah, we're technology-dependent. hehe.

In other words, iVideo wifi saved our lives.

Though we still could not access Google and other Google-related sites, it still had been very helpful.

I discovered that my iPhone map can work very well, and it's just like Google map. thanks to the iVideo wifi, we were able to use the map of our iPhones and found the locations very well.

Famous SNS sites, like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter is not really accessible also. But it's okay, at least we really get to bond and talk to each other. I learned about my friend, Joyce's Englishing skills. Hehe. And she got to hear me talk more. hahaha. But if you are already dying coz of withdrawal symptoms from SNS, you can go to big hotels (ex. Park Hyatt), their wifi is fast and you can access all your SNS.

But chat apps like Whatsapp, WeChat and Kakaotalk, and also iMessage work perfectly well. Though sometimes I had difficulty using Viber and Line app (even if we were in the Line Cafe).

As mentioned, we cannot access Google-related sites with the iVideo wifi.. meaning we also cannot access Google Translate. Good thing my sister has translators powered by Naver, a Korean site. We used that translator and we were able to communicate more easily to the locals.

A downside though of the iVideo wifi is that the battery drains easily. Good thing they have 2 batteries provided. But still you need to have a powerbank ready. What we do is we would turn off the wifi coz there's no SNS sites accessible, and we just turned it on if we need the maps or need the chat apps.

But another great thing with them is that they deliver it fast. We ordered it weekend before our trip and we got it just right before our trip.

Oh well.. I have to admit.. the wifi had been a big factor for us to have an enjoyable and hassle-free trip.tin-tinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07950275816660590223noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6594107.post-53810218659998023512016-11-10T15:11:00.001+08:002016-11-10T15:11:34.951+08:00November 8November 8...

A lot of people hate that day. A lot of people would like to remove it from the calendar coz of the news that for that day..

2013: Typhoon Yolanda
2016: Marcos to be buried at Libingan ng mga Bayani (Cemetery for Heroes)
Trump becoming President of the USA

But you know what? It's not only bad things that happen on November 8. And you know the most awesome thing that happened? I was born on that day.

I was supposed to be born in December. But no, I was born November 8.. coz God said something awesome should happen on November 8.

Nonsense post. Just want to inform everyone when my birthday is.
This is a grand post coz I never announce my birthdaytin-tinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07950275816660590223noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6594107.post-70162320390115999092016-08-24T20:57:00.001+08:002016-08-24T20:58:58.292+08:00Miss PhotographyEver since I was a kid, I already love taking pictures. I even got my first ever camera when I was in first year high school.

I still take photos but not that much anymore. Looks weird coz it's easier (our first camera has a separate bulky flash) and less expensive (wastage of film) now to take photos compared to before, but still I don't take that much pictures anymore especially compared to my friends.

But I still love to take photos especially of candid shots of people. I think I just want it to be as real as possible. And I love taking back shots of friends.

Yes, I also sometimes take pictures of sceneries and food (especially for food report) and those usual stuff but I admit that I'm not good at it.

Anyway, I met up with friends who are really active in Instagram who posts really good pictures that they even win contests and have a number of followers. And I suddenly have this feeling to also open an Instagram account for photos that won't include my face. That it would have a certain theme.

But I'm stumped. (1) i don't know what username to use; (2) what would be the contents of the account? I would like to have a theme but I don't have any idea what my theme would be. Food? Scenery? Fashion?

One thing for sure. I don't want my friends to know about it. I want it to be an anonymous account. If ever in the future I will discover that my friends are following me, it would be like I achieved something. It would be like somehow I passed their standards.
i just posted two in pinterest. as much as i would like to watch the drama again and screenshot them, i decided to just use it in watching other dramas. hello, i still have a long list of plan to watch. so i will just watch once in a while and post/update this again.

a little about the drama. i kinda accidentally watched it when i saw in my feeds that it was subbed. i don't know why i decided to just try it. and i really enjoyed the first episode. and one big surprise is Narimiya Hiroki was there. i like him as an actor. so i decided to continue and i'm glad i did. i really enjoyed the drama. and Kame as able to prove himself that he could be an actor. i saw him in another drama before, and i hated his acting. hehe. the best part of Kame in this drama? his singing voice. hahahaha.

i also like some of the lines (obviously, why would i have this post if not, right?). here are some of the quotes that i like:

i love to watch japanese dramas and movies, so what's the best way to discover japan? go to a place seen in a drama/movie. and perfect drama for it? hana yori dango.

hana yori is my first japanese drama (as far as i can recall). it's the japanese version of taiwanese' meteor garden and korean's boys over flowers.

one of the famous location of the drama is the ebisu garden place (clock tower square). this is where domyouji waited for makino for their date for the longest time and waited for her even if started to rain.

and i'm glad i searched for hana yori dango filming sites coz i didn't see this in famous tourist spots on my research. it's a nice place. it looks an expensive place hehe, but still a nice place to visit. and there are lots of restaurants there.

yes, i have to ask my sister to pose like she's waiting but since it's modern times, she's waiting while playing with her phone. hehe.

so what can you see in ebisu garden place besides this popular tower?

this clock performs a melody and like a mini-COD christmas display performance every 12nn, 3pm & 6pm. we saw the 12nn "performance". it's just small but it's cute. and it's difficult to watch coz it's hot!

if you're into art, i think you'll like the things you can see here

it's been a long time since i watched a taiwanese drama. and as you know, i get influenced easily. so when i saw several posts about Murphy's Law of Love with pictures of danson tang also, i told myself that i should give it a try.

and tried i did. and i got hooked. taiwanese are sooo good in making romantic comedy dramas. even if the drama is full of cliches. and even if i always were able to guess what will happen next (that's how cliche it is), but still i loooved it and was still hooked.

ji jia wei is a sweet guy in his own way. and handsome too. hehe. but anyway, even he is a cold porkchop, his words are gem that people can learn from. so i made this post to write those quotes. and just because i want to write something in my blog..

"I don't wish to hurt somebody else with the past between us two." - what he told his ex when she gave instructions to a friend on what ji jia wei needs when he has the flu

"You can be angry, but you can never ignore me." - as i always say.. the opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference

"If a plane can get to that place, then it's not that far away."

"Why are you always deciding on the outcome even without trying?" - i am guilty of this

"I thought I had the ability to give you happiness but I didn't imagine that my love would make it so hard for you."

"Sometimes dating is just like that. It's like dancing. If you miss one step, all the steps afterwards will be wrong... One moment impacts a lifetime."

his girlfriend is the dr. love, but i learned a lot more from ji jia wei. still, his girlfriend the dr. love has one quotable quote for me:

"Why did we learn so much from this relationship but can only fulfill it with someone else?"

all i can say about xiao tong's (dr. love quote) is that, i don't know why you're not together? even if the drama would end with less than 19 episodes and even if i'll miss ji jia wei, it's okay. because as the drama still goes on, it just became dragging.

oh well, i still loved it. i still gave it an 8/10 rating.tin-tinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07950275816660590223noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6594107.post-64801178070136088272015-04-11T00:37:00.000+08:002015-06-14T10:47:18.122+08:00Tips for First Time Travelers to Tokyoyay! i finally had been to Japan! Tokyo in particular. and of course, before going there i did some research on where to go to, what to expect, etc. honestly, i got a little scared as readings said that the subway is confusing and there's not much english.

okay, subway is confusing at first but after 2 days, you'll be fine. and just have a map with you. hehe. and english? trust me! Japanese are like the kindest people. i guess i'll have another post dedicated to that. so no problem even if there's a language barrier.

since we received a lot of help from the Japanese, i am now writing this post to help those who are planning to go to Japan. well, these are the things that helped us in Tokyo.

1. Download Google map on your phone

Google map had been our bestfriend. we would rely on it too much. it tells us what train to ride and the time the train leaves and what platform. see! you won't be confused with the subway if you have this. hahaha.
but don't really trust the travel time for walking, i guess they timed those who walk really really fast. and i get lost with the walking directions. hehehe

2. Rent pocket wifi

first tip is to use google map. and if you are to use it, you would need an internet. you'll not always have an internet, so it'll be great if you rent one. another helpful thing in our travel. and it's not expensive.

i rented from this site: http://www.globaladvancedcomm.com/pocketwifi.html.and it was an easy process, i got mine from the post office in the airport and just mailed it there to return.

3. Get a PASMOcard

if you'll just be in Tokyo, this would save you time and also some Yen. yes, you get a little discount if you use PASMO than buy a ticket every single time you ride the subway. yes, you save time since you just tap and tap your card. and you can also use it on vendo machines!
and you can have it personalized!

4. Learn the word "Sumimasen"

it means Excuse Me. this is the first word you'll say to the Japanese if you'll ask for directions or call their attention to order, etc etc.

and it's like most of the foreigners i encountered during the trip who would pass by would say Sumimasen instead of excuse me.

5. Bring power bank

let me repeat it. you will be using google map on your phone, you will be using wifi. and i'm sure you will be using your phone's camera a lot.

so what does this mean?

low batt. solution: bring a power bank. what i have is a cheap power bank since i just use it rarely in the Philippines. but in Japan, i used it everyday. and it gave my phone a longer life even just a little

6. You can also learn the sentence: "____ doko desu-ka?" (pronounced as ____ doko des ka)

this means "Where is ____?"

this is just an option so you can also ask those who can't speak english. what i did sometimes was show a picture then say "doko desu-ka?". then the way was shown to me!

just a warning though. some gets excited that they would suddenly speak in straight fast japanese. so either you say, "sorry no Japanese" or if they show the way with hands i say "left then right?" also with hand gestures. then they'll know i don't speak in japanese. hehe.

if the direction is complicated and they can't speak english at all, just follow the first part of the directions then look for another person to ask. hehe

7. Wear comfortable shoes

i know it's good to be fashionable when traveling especially with all the OOTD posts that we see in sns. but trust me, if you're like us who would like to visit as many places as you can in your first trip to tokyo, you would walk a lot. as in a lot! so better to wear comfortable shoes. and guess what? sneakers and rubber shoes sell cheaper in japan! that's what i found out in our trip. you can buy a lot! :)

and a note to smokers, there are vending machines selling cigarettes but you cannot buy from those. to buy cigarettes from these, you would need a Japanese ID card.

well, that's it. i hope it would help you a lot in enjoying your trip to Tokyo. =) tin-tinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07950275816660590223noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6594107.post-90068391168985283512015-04-02T09:50:00.000+08:002015-04-02T12:57:06.846+08:00Hongdae to Nami Island/Petite Francewhen you research on how to go to nami island/petite france, it's kinda complicated. and when i was doing our itinerary for last january, i was kinda scared if we'll be able to reach the place. good thing korea has a new subway line which makes it easier to go to nami island.

to help you more during your trip itself, download the korea subway app. it would help you a lot in going places.

okay here's the direction to nami island from hongdae.

Of course we will start from Hongik University Station. When inside Hongik Station, go to the G-J Line, particularly for the train going to Sangbong (G-J line). Transfer to Gyeongchun Line and go down in Gapyeong.

let's summarize: Hongik Univerity -> G-J Line - Sangbong -> Gyeongchun Line -> Gapyeong

yes, you will just ride the train and not go out the train stations anymore.

And when you reach Gapyeong, you can take the shuttle bus for only 5,000won.It's a ride all you can bus for one day. So you ca use it going to both Nami Island and Petite France. And it passes by every hour. But before you ride the bus, ask first if it's the shuttle bus because there are also ordinary buses that pass by.

Let's go first to Petite France. yes, i suggest you go there first coz i'm sure you're going to spend more time in Nami Island. so just for you not to rush your stay in Nami.

Petite France is as the name says, Little France.

1. Myeongdong Cathedral (http://english.visitkorea.or.kr/enu/SI/SI_EN_3_1_1_1.jsp?cid=264138)

- the most popular among my list. this is a tourist spot in myeongdong. i guess because it's located in the shopping district. and since it's a cathedral, it's the biggest among my list. also, i think this is the church with the most english masses. but the only schedule for english mass that i know is 9am.

Directions (for the visitkorea site):
Myeong-dong Subway Station (Seoul Subway Line 4), Exit 8
Walk along Toegyero-gil st. for about 300m and turn right at the intersection.
Walk along Myeongdong-gil st. for 100m to the Catholic Center
Walk up along the center

2. (Church in) Itaewon

- since itaewon is a foreigner place, i assumed that there is a catholic church there. and yes, there is one. it's near the mosque. i have to mention this because you will see the mosque more, but they're not on the same street. when we went out of the subway station there's a tourist guide who gave us a map and told us the direction of the church.

since it's in a place with lots of foreigners, i'm sure there's an english mass. but i'm not sure what time. the mass that we attended was in korean. and i've noticed only 2 young people in there.

3. (Church in) Hongdae

- finally! after always staying in hongdae, i finally saw the Catholic Church there. it's in one of the streets. it's near the elementary school.

the schedule are 9am and 11am. but when i asked from the church's office what time is the english mass, they said none.

since going to the itaewon church and seeing only 2 young people there, i became observant on the youth going to church in korea. this is the church where i saw many young people. and i think they're all friends. i arrived before the mass started and whenever there's a youth coming, their friends will be excited. and they stayed at the left corner of the front of the church. i had been a member of the youth ministry before that is why it makes me happy to see youth going to church.

Directions(?):
If you're from exit 9, you have to turn left (instead of right where
most of the stores/restaurants are). it is not that obvious so you
really have to look for the cross to see if it's already the church. and
it would be helpful if you will ask around while walking (that's what i
did). the elementary school would be a helpful landmark coz it's in the next street.

4. (Church in) Hyehwa

- after learning that there's no english mass in hongdae, i went to hyehwa as i read that there's an english mass there and a lot of filipinos. when i went down the station and walked a little, i saw the lane with filipino food. and after speaking in broken english for days, it's really a relief to speak in your native tongue in a different place. since i heard them speaking in tagalog, i asked them in tagalog where the church is. i was told that the mass is at 1:30pm, and to visit myeongdong for english mass. i asked if the church is open to visit, and i was told yes. so i visited the church.

when i arrived (past 9am) at the church, there's an on-going mass. but it is in korean. still i stayed since i can't attend the 1:30pm mass anymore coz i'm leaving for manila already.

Directions:
Hyehwa Station (Line 4), exit 1. Just go straight
ahead then you'll see the tents of the filipino market and just go a
little straight more.

1. shattered dream. this is number one since i've kept on mentioning it since earlier. what made it more heartbroken for me is that it was not really shattered by other people (yes, partly) but the decision of not pursuing it and losing confidence in myself (the reason i didn't pursue it) hurts even more.

2. monthly meeting friends who i have not seen for a very long time. well, it's not really super every month but i think i only missed 2-3 months. i'm glad last year that i was able to see some friends again. friends i have not seen for years.

3. out of town with the dilags. finally! i got to join the dilags in an out of town trip that needs overnight stay. i just followed them but still i got to be with them for more than a day.
6. the birth of the facebook thank you posts. it all began when i was starting to lose self-confidence. i need to counter it with something positive. i need to be reminded why i should be thankful. thus the birth of the thank you post. i just post when i feel so down.
we stayed in coco grove, and the resort is really really nice! with a very nice welcome for us in the pier. a little pricey, but it's really beautiful.
the signal is weak in siquijor, and there are only certain areas in the resort that has signal and also wifi. so, you can really relax and have vacation. just like what happened to me and my friends. when we were still in dumaguete, we were on our phones for work, and we can't work in siquijor anymore since there is no signal. time for us to rest.

siquijor is just a small island. you can tour the whole island in a day.

we took the coastal island tour.

first stop is a big balete tree. but its not only the balete tree that you can find there. you can have a fish foot spa.
you have to climb 100+ steps, i forgot how many. we were warned by our kind driver/guide/photographer/videographer. when going down, we didn't mind it. going up, we counted aloud and we were out of breath.

that's the start of the adventure. when you reach the falls, you can do the tarzan jump.

even if you don't know how to swim, you can still do it. the water in that part is not deep. but there are full of rocks, so still be careful. and since we are adventurous, we jumped near the falls which is kind of high. this time, if you don't know how to swim this is not recommended coz the water is deep.
i also jumped! thanks to the encouragement of my friends and pol who assured me that he will save me after i jump. everyone just told me to relax and i will be fine. amazingly! i did not panic after jumping and i did float! a little fyi about me.. i don't know how to swim. hehe.

next stop: salagdoong beach. it's a public beach. for the first time in siquijor, we ate a lot since the food is cheaper. hehehe. you can swim in the water, better to wear sandals because it's kind of stony.

but the real highlight: cliff diving! it's so high. much higher than the falls. and you should jump if it's high tide and the water's really deep because it's full of rocks. it's sad that we were not able to experience it since it is low tide. it is not safe to jump. so we just took pictures.

The BMW vintage motorcycle has long been a staple of motorcycle collectors, particularly models that were built right after World War II when the German company was back on its legs. Models like the beige R50 from the 1950s and the R5 1/3 with its classic hardtail seat are items chased after by collectors big and small. Fortunately, there's been enough production over the decades that some of these models can be found and are not completely lost to history or private collections. However, folks do need to take the time to hunt down the right bikes as these motorcycles do tend to go very quickly.

The period from 1955 to 1969 produced some of the most sought after BMW motorcycles with engines ranging from 250cc to 500cc, or essentially a bike for everyone's tastes. A good number of these models were sold both in Europe as well as the U.S., which would have likely convinced people that BMW was doing well. Ironically, the company was having serious financial problems at the time. This was also the period that the BMW motorcycle saw the last of its models equipped with a sidecar. After this time period, BMW riders wanted an “unencumbered” motorcycle for pure riding, so the accessory began to disappear.

There was plenty of groundswell to carry BMW forward. Many of the young riders from the 1960s had matured but still wanted a BMW motorcycle. This kept the vintage look and design in place for another decade, sticking to the famous black BMW bike look started years earlier.

The motorcycle models made from 1970 to 1982 carried a lot of the same pin-striping and black BMW motorcycle look of the earlier years. They also had thicker seats for longer riding, and many BMW models became the first touring bikes for long-distance riders. However, the later models had quite a bit more work added to them with bigger engines. Eventually, the old-style kickstart pedal was eliminated in trade for a key ignition. By 1977 a 1,000cc engine model became available in the R100/7.

Starting with the 1983 models going forward, the era of the vintage BMW motorcycle ended. Models produced afterwards had modern looks, far more plastic fairings for wind resistance and a different look. The bare metal body look didn't reappear again until the souped up R1200C model showed up in a James Bond film in 1997.

Finding a vintage BMW motorcycle can be done either through a BMW dealer or through private sales. The best way to get started if looking for a first bike is to go through a dealer, however. This is because there's a lot to learn when taking on a BMW motorcycle. These bikes take some time to understand, learn, maintain and keep running. And the older the model chosen, the more learning there is involved with keeping it running right. So a new buyer looking to get into the world of BMW motorcycles should do some homework first and research how these machines work.
tin-tinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07950275816660590223noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6594107.post-34789034621606186982014-07-19T14:36:00.000+08:002014-07-19T14:36:25.780+08:00SHOOT! ...Not...my friends and i did the beer pong challenge last night. beer pong is there are glasses of beer on the table, and you have to shoot the ball in the glass. if you shoot it, the other person will drink that glass.

and of course, i didn't get to shoot any. as expected. hehe. and it brought me memories of my basketball class for college p.e.

i can say that my basketball teacher came to know my name. why? because she waited for me with two of my classmate-friends for almost 2 hours i think.

the exercise for that day is really simple (if you're good in basketball). just shoot two consecutive free throws then you can go home. that's just the activity for the day. and you guessed it.. i was not able to get in the free throws consecutively. i think 15 minutes before the class ended there were still a few of us left. so our teacher decided that we just have to have two throws in, even if it's not consecutive as long as it's two. all of my classmates were able to finish it. so they all left. i was left alone shooting. our teacher of course was still there, and two classmates (who were my friends) stayed. i can't shoot two. after a long long long time, finally! it's in! and then we went home.

do you know the anime Free!? i think i have some similarities with rei.. he knows all the theories and technicalities, but not the application. well, our difference is at the end, he became good.
i suck at sports (except being a goalkeeper for soccer, naks!) but for basketball, i know a lot on its technicalities since i had been watching basketball since i was a kid.

this is a nonsense post but i just want to post something here in my blog again. and well, just sharing something about me :) tin-tinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07950275816660590223noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6594107.post-52061299898480243402014-04-26T15:54:00.003+08:002014-04-26T15:54:47.967+08:00Reunionsit's april and one of the good things that happened to me this year is meeting and seeing people i haven't seen for the longest time. every month, there are sets of people i have not seen. and it's like i have rekindled my friendship with them

january - angel/friends of race (last time i saw them is i think for more than a year already)
february - se34
march - highschool friends
april - racho family

but the sad part is in every month also (except january) i've been going to wakes. this has been the reason i saw these friends again.

i'm looking for ward to seeing more friends as the months go by but i pray i won't meet them in wakes this time.tin-tinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07950275816660590223noreply@blogger.com1
